The shattered French Socialist party needs a charismatic healer, a bridge-builder, a Gallic Obama. They have elected, finally, as their new leader, a tough and brilliant woman, whose sharp tongue and wicked humour infuriates her enemies and terrify her friends....
Now THAT’S how you settle a rivalry. It’s all Ducks and Beavers this weekend as far as any nerdly Oregonians are concerned, as the two universities are currently in the closing moments of a 24-hour LAN party where the schools’ respective gaming clubs have squared off in the following titles: Command & Conquer 3 Counter Strike: Source Dawn of War Peggle Team Fortress 2 Unreal Tournament 2004 Warcraft 3 The tournament started at noon Pacific yesterday and ends at noon Pacific today. Yeah, that was awesome. Connoisseurs of corporate drama should appreciate the latest development -- the judge has made public a second batch of emails revealing that MS execs were at odds about that decision. Senior VP Will Poole apparently made the call to...
Marvel Comics released a teaser image for an unnamed project yesterday that seemed to mix two of their iconic characters together, asking "Who is the Iron Patriot?" We've got the full image, plus our guess on the answer (Spoiler: It's probably not Tony Stark), under the jump. The silhouette - that appears to give Iron Man the chest symbol of Captain America - isn't the first time that Marvel has teamed a mash-up of the two characters; teasing the aftermath of 2006's Civil War (which pit the two characters against each other), the publisher leaked this image as a teaser,...
