Video: AC Milan’s Kaká chosen to demonstrate Sony Bravia’s 240Hz Motionflow AC Milan Brazilian midfielder Kaká scored the winning the goal against Catania only a few minutes ago. This, believe it or not, is relevant to us here at CrunchGear, for the Manchester City-bound player (if you believe the European sports pages) is Sony’s new frontman for an upcoming Bravia ad campaign. And if you’ve spent any amount of time on YouTube then you know what to expect from such a campaign: a big idea and an even bigger budget (Kaká’s no fool) leaving you wondering, “Wait, this is about TVs, right?” That quick, shaky (sorry!) video shows you some...

Is Nokia Developing a 10 inch Internet Tablet? Scuttlebutt is that Nokia may be working up a 9 or 10 inch Internet tablet that would have a touch screen and a secondary OLED screen, accompanied with Near Field Communication (NFC) for close in wireless links. Of course there is nothing but speculation at the moment and who knows if this is the device changer that the folks at TechCrunch/CrunchGear were touting in an earlier post or not. Of course if it was to be announced at this week’s Nokia World expo, that might put a damper on the TechCrunch Internet Tablet. Via Electronista...

24.5 MP Nikon D3X DSLR is $8,000 and thus not for babies After months of whispered rumors, Nikon have finally officially announced the D3X full-frame DSLR, which can capture the universes within your pores with its whopping 24.5 megapixels. It's capable of images up to 6048 x 4032, running the gamut from ISO 100 to ISO 1600, which is a step down from its brother, the D3. More impressive is its ability to capture up to five frames per second in full frame FX format, and up to seven in DX. This much camera will obviously cost, though: street price is $8,000. Moto Kraver Strikes the ‘Brick… And everywhere elseLast night I noticed that Joel at BoingBoing Gadgets discovered an overly in love “fan” of the Motorola Krave who had been trolling their comments for the last few weeks. The dude’s comments seemed oddly familiar. So I checked our own comments here at the ‘Brick. Guess what? He struck here too. A few times. This brazen bandit doesn’t even wear a mask, freely admitting that he works for Motorola while simultaneously and textually stroking the Krave. Sometimes he mixes it up, but mostly it’s the same old tune, which goes something like this. “This phone is cool, but I...

The Moto Kraver Strikes at Gizmodo [Crappy Viral Marketing]Yesterday, Joel at BoingBoing Gadgets discovered a very aggressive, um, "fan" of the Motorola Krave trolling their comments for the last couple of weeks. Turns out, he's a frequent pundit at Giz, CrunchGear and Lifehacker too! Did you know that the Krave matches perfectly with a sports car and an alien mountain shelter? It sucks the power out of the shill to actually say you work for Motorola, though, dude. But I guess that constitutes disclosure? Hit the jump to read all about how awesome mgoode says the Krave is. No hard feelings though, we'll totally laser etch your Krave...

You’re doing it wrong: Motorola astroturfs just about everyone Joel at BBG has found a bunch of threads from MGOODE08, apparently a shill for Motorola who posts comments to gadget sites about the Motorola Krave. I’m so glad my boss isn’t like that! I’m working with Motorola right now, and became a huge fan of the Krave (motorola.com/krave). I especially like the full touch screen display and html web browser. It’s awesome! And before that: Oh man this looks awesome! I hope they release a version for the Krave by Motorola. Ever since I started working with Motorola I have became a huge fan of the phone (motorola.com/krave)....
Thanks Michael for teaching me a new word, "to astroturf". It's even on Wikipedia - Paola

Lost Astronaut Tool Bag Spotted With Telescope [Space D'oh] — The toolbag lost by astronaut Heidi Stefanyshyn-Piper last week is quickly becoming the most famous piece of $100,000 junk floating around in space. In fact, countless nerds have pointed their telescopes into the night sky attempting to catch a glimpse of the backpack-sized bag orbiting the Earth. At least one man has succeeded in this endeavor—and he managed to capture it on video to boot. Hit the video after the break to watch the original "D'oh!" moment. [ABC News via Crunchgear]...

ZzzPhone Is Second Google Android Cellphone Ever [Android]According to CrunchGear's John Biggs, the second-ever Android cellphone doesn't come from Motorola, Nokia or Sony Ericsson. The Zzzphone is a full-QWERTY keyboard Chinese slider which apparently runs the Android operating system, and has a web site designed in 1994. It not only runs Android, but it also seems to have mutant powers. This thing can do absolutely everything: Welcome to zzzPhone; the world's first unlocked quad-band mobile featuring the Google Android Operating System. It not only works everywhere in the world, but also can be built and personalized per your custom requirements with GPS, Wi-Fi, your choice of seven...

Zoybar Modular Instrument is a Guitar, Bass or Medieval Lute, Depending on Your Mood [Instruments] — Stringed instruments are diverse in sound and design, but they all share the same basic shape. That similarity hadn't really bugged anyone too much for the last few hundred years, but where most see variety Zoybar sees redundancy: they've proposed a modular, build-it-yourself guitar-ish thing, with interchangeable parts that can convert it into a wide range of necky, stringy instruments. Want an electric guitar? An amplified theobo? A single-stringed hobo-bass with a line out? Sure, whatever, it's a Zoybar, man. Broken down into a few categories of changeable parts, main body included, the Zoybar itself is best described a series...

A splash of paint for Dell's netbook Dell's Inspiron Mini 9 just went to the art gallery and came home with a new paint job courtesy of Tristan Eaton. As the first big shop to do this, Dell seeks to underscore its transformation into a PC design haus: Sony, for example, doesn't even have a Netbook out, yet. Tristan Eaton designed his first toy -- for Fisher-Price -- at age18, and has since become a driving force in the world of “designer toys.” He was the head designer for the influential Kidrobot brand and designed some of its most influential “art toys,” including Dunny and Munny....

Konica Minolta Working on Thumbdrive-Sized Projector [Projectors]It appears that Konica Minolta will take mini-projector one-upsmanship to the next level with a new device that measures about 1.6 inches long, .79 inches wide, and only .3 inches thick—roughly the size of a smallish thumbdrive. When all is said and done, Konica believes that this new projector will be able to throw 20-inch color images in XGA resolution at distances of about 20 24-inches away from the screen and use less than 1-watt of power while operating. Unfortunately, the device will not be ready for public consumption for another 2 or 3 years, which opens up the door...

MSI Gets Into Nettop PC Game With All-in-One Wind Neton Range [Nettops]There're one or two contenders in the netbook-for-desktop nettop game, but with MSI's new Wind Neton machines it could get a bit interesting. Atom-based, of course, the PCs will come in 22-inch, 18.5 and 15.6-inch screen versions, dubbed M22, M19 and M16, and the all-in-one iMac alikes look like they'll have optional touchscreens. Releases are due in January for the M19, Feb for the M16 and March for the M22 at $500, $400 and $800 respectively. Oh, the M22 has a Blu-ray drive option—Like I said, this could get interesting. I know everyone and their brother are iPod fanatics and to them nothing can beat out this epitome of form and function for an MP3 player. I also know that I am probably opening myself up to some demeaning ridicule but the fact is I like the Zune. I see today that Matt Burns at CrunchGear is announcing that there is going to be a price reduction coming in time for the holiday gift giving season. As nice as those reductions might be that still place this toy at; or near, the bottom of my wish list. It’s not that I don’t...

@Sprague .. ya I mentioned the price cuts but even there the Zune is something that will have to wait for some time unfortunately. - Steven Hodson
