We saw the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 Spyder a bit earlier today, but now we've got the official details and the live reveal photos from the LA Auto Show. The Lamborghini LP 560-4 Spyder's dropped its top in press photos that have made their way to the web ahead of an expected debut later today at the LA Auto Show. The newest amped-up Lambo gets the body of Gallardo convertible and the powertrain of the LP 560-4, that means a 5.2-liter V10 engine with 560 HP and 398 lb-ft of torque, good for a top speed of 201 MPH after a 0-62 MPH run of a speedy 4 seconds. The Lamborghini Estoque, the four-door bull from Sant'Agata, will likely see a range of engine choices heretofore unseen from the automaker. In an attempt to meet stricter emissions standards, Lamborghini is considering turbocharging and/or the use of a diesel engine for the sedan. A couple of knuckleheads in the Australian town of Walkerville managed to wrap the front third of a Ferrari 360 Modena quite effectively around a telephone pole and walk away with only minor injuries. Last Friday night a Lamborghini Gallardo speeding through the rainy Fort Worth, Texas struck a tree and split in half when the driver lost control after hydroplaning across standing water. The violent accident left the passenger compartment smashed against the tree while the rear half of the car continued on, stopping yards away. Both passenger and driver suffered serious injuries with one of the occupants reportedly losing a foot (ouch).
