You never forget your first . . . music player! Seeing this Winamp t-Shirt ($18) really brings back my Napster-abusing memories. I changed my Winamp skins monthly and relied on it as heavily as any app I love now. How young I was then — no glimmer of iTunes or iPhones yet to distract me. There may be over 10,000 applications now available on the iTunes App Store, but we know that roughly half of those are flashlight applications (the other half is made up of tip calculators). There is no shortage of hardware flashlights for the iPhone, either. Heck, one of them even has a built-in laser. (Credit: CNET) On Wednesday, Amazon announced the throwing open of its virtual doors to iPhone and iPod Touch users everywhere with Amazon Mobile, a free app now available in the iTunes App Store. It's a pretty nice offering that simplifies the search experience for products found not just on Amazon.com, but also on partner retailers Target and Macy's.
