Sure, this looks like an innocent bust that shows off your love of the writer/poet/ladies man, but throw back his head and it reveals a secret switch. Do you remember this yet? It’s from the old Batman TV series from the ’60s. Bruce Wayne hid his secret switch inside and used it whenever it was time to get into the batcave. It sat next to the red Bat-Phone. Shakespeare’s switch can control almost anything electronic: lights, window shades, music, even swiveling bookshelf batcave entrances. It isn’t cheap though. You’ll need to spend Bruce Wayne bucks to get it. The limited-edition...
Here’s one to file in the “wish-that-I-could-get-one” department. Yamaha recently revealed their PAS City-C, a sleek battery-powered electric bike that was designed by the famed japanese firm ±0, who are well known for their wall-mounted Muji CD player. The limited edition hybrid-electric bicycle features a sturdy metal frame and an electric motor that provides assistance while accelerating, climbing a hill, riding into the wind, or carrying heavy loads. Filed under: Displays, JVC, Projector Clearly, just one hue for JVC's DLA-HD750 1080p projector wasn't enough, but the outfit's making darn sure that few people ever see the alternative color. Just 200 of the all white DLA-HD750-W models will ever be released, and so far as we can tell, they'll all be up for grabs in Japan. As for specs, you can expect a delightful Full HD native resolution, 50,000:1 contrast ratio, 900 lumens, twin HDMI ports, VGA / S-Video / composite inputs and a ¥756,000 ($7,940) sticker. What? You didn't expect such a rare beast to be a bargain,...

If your co-workers don't already know about the soft morsel of love for late-70s gaming consoles deep in your heart, why not load up the company's color printer with some heavy-bond and fold up an Atari 2600 to stand proudly by your enterprise Dell (and your HAL 9000). These patterns by Marshall Alexander feature cool 3D pop-outs and nice old-school-appropriate graphics and typography. Better than the limited edition in-box Spawn action figures you have now, and cheaper (ie: free). [Foldskool Heroes via TOYSREVIL]...
I collect antique medical illustrations from the 18th and 19th century. My collection is small, mostly because the really beautiful pieces are usually quite pricey. For a more affordable option, Transmission Atelier is a fine art printer in Chicago that also reissues antique medical, religious, mythology, and natural history illustrations. They've picked some fantastic pieces to reprint. I haven't seen Transmission Atelier's work in person, but they describe their products as "extremely detailed limited edition digital pigment prints." Small prints (8" x 10") are $49.99 and the large ones (16" x 20") are $119.99. Transmission Atelier Editions...

Let's face it: this year's recession-busting Black Friday sucked, featuring a few good deals but no single blockbuster worth getting up at 2:00 am to stand in the cold. Over the weekend we still maintained a bit of hope that Cyber Monday would bring something worth getting excited about, and while right now it looks like we're set for another disappointingly bargain-free day full of nothing but work and turkey sandwiches, one deal did catch our eye. Amazon has a Nintendo DS up for just $99; that's $30 less than you'll find it elsewhere -- if you can find...

If CH was ever to go print, we'd like to think we could execute it with the same thoughtful elegance as the semi-annual audio magazine The Journal of Popular Noise, which is why we're excited to be sponsors of the latest issue's launch. This time around the limited-edition (only 300 are made) and letter pressed publication includes Climax Golden Twins, PWRFL Power and Linda & Ron's Dad. An event at Printed Matter on 11 December 2008 officially kicks it off but the real party is on 15 December with performances by Pwrfl Power, Free Blood and Shy Child at...

Rob Walker’s Murketing Organization will be selling three extremely limited edition tee-shirts “inspired by consumer psychology research”, created by three up-and-coming design students at Savannah College of Art and Design. The 48-Hour T-Shirt Project (each shirt will only be sold for 2 days) will start on Monday Dec 1, when the first shirt will be sold exclusively via Murketing.com, with the other two debuting on Dec 8 and Dec 15. Walker explains: “Each design is inspired by actual academic research related to consumer behavior. That’s right! It’s a lesson in consumer behavior — and you can consume it! Ironic? Hypocritical?...
Sorry about the delay, folks. I’m in Korea this week and find myself with zero Wi-Fi access. Strange considering this is one of the most wired (’wired’ being the operative word here) countries in the world. Anyway, without further ado the winners of the Target Limited Edition Shaun White Snowboarding for Xbox 360 winners are… Kevin D. and S.F. Check your inbox, guys. Thanks to Target for hooking us up and in-turn hooking you guys up....
I know I don't need an excuse to buy a new Nintendo DS, but if you don't have one yet (side note: Why?), then Black Friday is the perfect time to dive in. Starting November 28, you can pick up a DS in one of two new colors: Mario Red and Ice Blue. This is great news since the majority of you like your gadgets with a little hue on them. But the best part isn't just the new shades. Just like we saw last year, these hot new handhelds are being bundled with two of my favorite games to...
