Sony Ericsson's Filippa, Frances, and C510 Kate spotted in the same room?Filed under: Handsets, Sony Ericsson, GSMMankind has never known a greater mystery than that of the true identity of "Kate." We knew it was a camera phone, manufactured by Sony Ericsson, and that it was part of the Cyber-shot line -- but beyond that all we had was speculation and innuendo. And here's some more! According to SEMC Blog, Kate -- officially known as the C510 -- should be available in roughly "two months." The camera sports a 2.2-inch QVGA display, 3.2-megapixel camera and 120MB on board storage. Also detailed were Filippa, a new Cybershot candybar, and Frances, its slider...

Network Smarter to See Faster Personal Branding ResultsToday, I spoke with Liz Lynch, who is a networking-a-holic and the author of a book about networking.  I always say “make your life one big networking event,” and Liz helps us figure out how to network online and offline, even if we’re lazy and hate the word “networking.”  Liz will give you a sense of how networking has changed, how online networking success leads to offline and how they are different and how all of this relates to personal branding! Liz, there are a lot of books on networking/relationship building.  Why do people keep writing about this subject?  Is...

"For the past three days Pakistani intelligence agents and police have been combing this sleepy village in search of clues to the identity of the lone gunman captured in the Mumbai terror attacks, residents said on Monday. Indian officials and news media officials identified him variously as Ajmal Amir Kamal, Azam Amir Kasav, or Azam Ameer Qasab, and Indian news media quoted police as saying that the alleged killer's home village was in Faridkot, near the city of Multan in the southern part of Pakistan's Punjab province. Local residents, however, are bewildered and alarmed. They said there was no one of that surname in this village, and no missing resident who fit the pictures and description shown in the Indian news media." - Sean McBride
Here we go again. Initially I thought there was no conceivable way that this could have been a false flag op. Now I am not so certain. - Sean McBride
http://ibnlive.in.com/videos/video_streaming.php this lead off with the thought that the captured terrorist may not be pakistani - gregory lent
Profile of terrorists fits Indians not pakis. one captured is not being shown to media, for accent, his talk, style, rest of terroists, there faces were defaced by Indians after gunning them down, fishy stuff. - imran
i know little about pakistan, but after 12 years in india, i will say that lying is so natural to the indian mind that no government statement can ever be believed .. and sorry if i offended any indians .. after all, only about 50% lie on their immigration and education forms when applying to go to britain, say, so there are exceptions - gregory lent
For once, I thought I could embrace the official story wholeheartedly, and not be troubled by a fishy smell. No such luck - Sean McBride

Flash Forward to accompany Lost?Filed under: Other Sci-Fi/Supernatural Shows, Programming, OpEd, Heroes, Casting, Reality-Free, FringeWhen exactly did we start lusting after sci-fi mystery shows with such a vengeance? That's the question I'm asking myself after reading the news about ABC's Flash Forward, a drama pilot starring Courtney B. Vance (pictured) and Jack Davenport. The show is based on Robert J. Sawyer's sci-fi novel and follows the chaos that ensues after everyone in the world blacks out for 2 minutes and 17 seconds. Oh, and everyone has a mysterious vision of the future that changes their lives forever. See, I'm the perfect viewer for this...

The Sarah Connor Chronicles: Self Made ManFiled under: Episode Reviews, The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Reality-Free(S02E11) If ever the show Cold Case did an episode involving killer robots from the future, it would be tonight's Sarah Connor Chronicles. The reverse is also true.Cameron certainly earned her "most efficient killing machine on the planet" title tonight. And she didn't even have to do laundry. Obviously, the mystery of her constant attendance at the hall of records at night is not going to be solved this episode (since it was only brought up this episode). The real mystery is what happened to Eric at the end? Did he succumb...

The Mystery Of Clay Woman Amy Poehler, Alan Cumming, Debbie Harry and darlings of New York's performance art scene star in this mockumentary, which will accompany Michael Cavadias's “lecture” about a 500-million-year-old enigma who, according to legend, can cure anyone of their deepest pain. Even if the idea of seeing “performance art” is enough to give you douche chills, the combination of Amy Poehler and urban legend should be the ticket to a good time. Two Years Later, Federal Digital Storage Rules Still a Mystery to ManyThe court-rule amendments, known as the FRCP and placed into effect on Dec. 1, 2006, say businesses must be able to quickly find and make available relevant data when required by a court. Often, business information that could also serve as evidence in a criminal or civil lawsuit is required to be made available in as few as 30 days. Many enterprises are still in the dark about this. - Exactly two years ago, the U.S. Supreme Court quietly enacted a package of changes to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, a set of legal guidelines that govern all levels...

Monk: Mr. Monk and the MiracleFiled under: Episode Reviews, Reality-Free(S07E09) What does it say about this special holiday episode of Monk that the wittiest, most clever and memorable minute was when they unfurled the promo for the series return in 2009, using the music from Magnum, P.I. and dubbing the show Monk, P.I.? The USA marketing guys really hit a home run with that ad; it was brilliant.Sadly, "Mr. Monk and the Miracle" was a sub-standard episode and hardly worth the moniker of "special." The mystery was rather simple -- about the most complicated piece of evidence was the hand print in the refrigerator --...
