It's certainly not for everybody, but if Wii-playing parties are a regular occurance at your place, or if you happen to have a bunch of Wiimotes lying around for some other purposes, you may want to consider Nyko's new Charge Station Quad, which promises to keep four of 'em topped off at all times. You'll also, of course, get four of Nyko's own NiMH rechargeable battery packs with the package, and four rubber battery covers to prevent any unfortunate accidents. Look for this one to hit all the usual locations sometime next month, when it'll set you back $50....
Filed under: Portable Audio, Portable Video MobiBlu has certainly managed to turn a few heads with some of its PMPs in the past, but it seems safe to bet that won't be a very common occurance with its new T20 model, which looks to be relying primarily on questionably-sourced images of Wall-E to garner attention. That same-ness also extends down to the player's specs, which include a 2.4-inch WQVGA display, 1GB to 8GB of storage, an FM radio, a voice recorder, and support for all the usual file formats, not to mention some unspecified games. Unlike Bernard, I escaped from prison in stages: First Using Gmail to boost non-gmail productivity Next using Gmail servers with my own domain but still in the Outlook client Finally breaking entirely free, using Gmail natively (web interface). This was part of a bigger move, ditching almost all desktop software, moving online. (Gmail for mail and Zoho for most other tasks) I’ve never looked back, and am definitely more productive than in my desktop-bound life. I could see...
Gears-enabling Gmail will be great, for those “unconnected” moments (hours), and I certainly hope they will avoid dumb mistakes that made Google Reader almost useless offline. But for now, all I wish is a little more reliabilty. Formerly rock-solid Gmail has been ill a lot lately. The “Oops…the system encountered a problem (#500) - Retrying in 1:30” error message has became a daily occurance… in fact several times a day. A minute and half is not that much - except that it’s not only waiting for the requested operation, it freezes up Gmail entirely. So if you’re impatient, you’ll inevitable...
